The "General Workforce" are those workers who may be exposed to some radiation during the course of their duties, but who are at no risk of exceeding an annual dose of 5 milli-Sieverts.
"X-ray Workers" are those workers who, as a necessary part of their occupation and employment, work in environments where there is risk of exposure in excess of the General Workforce limit.
Those workers may legally be subject to a dose limit of 50 milli-Sieverts per year, provided their Employer notifies them in writing of this designation.
