Biological Harm due to X-rays

Dental Worker Occupational Dose Limits

Based on evidence collected from a variety of sources, Dental Workers are not at risk of exceeding an occupational exposure of 5 milli-Sieverts per year - the General Workforce limit.

Consequently, the Ontario Ministry of Labour does not consider a Dental worker an X-ray Worker as defined by Regulation 861, and their employer must act to ensure doses stay below 5mSv per year at all times.
