Somatic Cell Effects
As stated earlier, x-ray damage to cells may be repairable or non-repairable.
For non-repairable damage, the severity of effect to somatic cells may range from no significant loss of function, loss or undesireable change in cell function, cell death, or cell mutation possibly leading to cancer.
