Biological Harm due to X-rays

What makes X-Rays useful?

X-Rays are differentially transmitted, scattered, or absorbed by the materials they pass through. These interactions depend on the energy of the x-ray photons, the composition and density of the attenuating material, the thickness of the attenuating material, along with a number of other physical factors.

Energy is deposited into the patient's tissue as a result of these interactions.
