The most common type of radiation dosimeter is the Thermo-Luminescent Dosimeter or TLD badge.
The majority of Dental Workers are no longer required to wear a dosimeter unless there is an identified special need.
If you are issued a dosimeter, you must clip it to your clothing so that it is positioned between your waist and chest.
