An x-ray room uses;
- High voltage, high current electricity.
- Components kept at high vacuum, like the cathode ray tubes in the video monitors,
- Suspended equipment
- Remotely controlled equipment
- Overhead and floor draped cables, and
- Lead shielding
There is ongoing potential for physical injury in an x-ray room. This is mitigated by the training and experience of the Operator, but everyone must be aware and alert for hazardous situations.
