X-ray physics is simplified if we understand one basic fact: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form.
We all have an intuitive sense of what energy is.
Energy is light from the sun that millions of years ago let small creatures grow, who later died and whose remains, through the millennia turned into fossil fuels that became the gasoline with which we use to power our cars to make them go fast.
That's energy, and thats how it transforms.
