OEC 9800: Fluoroscopic Timer (Reset Key)

The C-Arm control panel display indicates accumulated fluoro time.

If PULSE mode is selected, the fluoro time equals the number of pulses per second and the ON time of each pulse.

Timer operational characteristics:
  • Systems within the US
Sounds an alarm and flashes the Alarm Reset LED after every 5 minutes of fluoro.

Alarm Reset: Pressing the reset key briefly silences the alarm. Pressing it for two seconds resets the procedure timer and the alarm.

  • Systems outside the US
Sounds an alarm and flashes the Alarm Reset LED after every 5 minutes of fluoro. Additionally, after a preset amount of accumulated fluoro time (10 minutes is the programmed default) x-rays will be terminated. A warning alarm sounds 30 seconds before exposure termination.

Alarm Reset Before Exposure Termination: Pressing the reset key briefly silences the alarm. Pressing it for two seconds resets the procedure timer and the alarm.

Alarm Reset After Exposure Termination: Release the x-ray switch, press the Alarm Reset key briefly and then press the x-ray switch again to resume exposure. Pressing the Alarm Reset Key for two seconds resets the procedure timer and the alarm.
